Michael DeMasi has been writing about people, places and events in upstate New York for more than 25 years. He hasn’t strayed far from his roots in Troy, where he grew up the youngest of four children to Italian immigrants.
He’s been a reporter at the Albany Business Review since 2005. Previously he was a reporter at The Daily Gazette in Schenectady and The Post-Star in Glens Falls.
Michael has written about CEOs, entrepreneurs, politicians, gadflies, artists, teachers, clergy, police, prisoners, homeowners, hobbyists and his adventures as the dad of twin girls.
His work has been recognized by his peers at the state and national levels.
He and his wife, Lori, live in Clifton Park with their 10-year-old twin daughters, Emma and Sophia.
